Kingsland Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)
My name is Alyssa Humpal and I am the new ECFE Coordinator. I am excited to be a part tof the Kingsland School District and a part of your communities. I am coming to Kingsland with six years of experience in early childhood. I have worked in the capacity as a teacher and center manager in Early Childhood programs. I am excited to begin our year of fun filled activities and getting to know your family.
What is ECFE?
Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a public school program for all families and children from birth to kindergarten enrollment. Parents and children are welcome to participate in ECFE programs. ECFE is based on the idea that the family provides a child's first and most significant learning environment and parents are a child's first and most important teachers. ECFE works together to strengthen families. The programs include parent/child time, parent discussions, and children's time.
Kingsland ECFE is open to all families and their children from birth to age five (not currently enrolled in Kindergarten). ECFE programming follows the school calendar. If there is an early out or if school is canceled, ECFE will be canceled as well.
Sliding fee scale:
Fees are collected at the beginning of each semester (twice per school year) based on annual income. This is only a suggestion--please pay what you are comfortable contributing. Payment is confidential and no family will be turned away because they are unable to pay.
