Flexible Learning Day - Assignments

SPANISH 8

Please complete the following during our Flexible Learning Day (3-5-18):
1) Weather Project
As mentioned on Friday, today was to be spent as an in class work day for your Weather Projects. However, since we now have a flexible learning day, you need to use today as an at home work day. In addition, I will be extending the due date from tomorrow to Wednesday, March 7, 2018. This will grant you the opportunity to still have an in class work day to finish up and ask questions tomorrow (3-6-18).

For this project you will be creating a 5-day weather forecast. This forecast can be completely fictional, but should be chronological. The rubric for the project can be found in your Spanish 8 folder (Google Drive -- Spanish 8 -- Lección Prelim -- Weather Poster). You may choose to complete the project on paper or electronically but must include the required criteria. Additionally, if you include a temperature AND second weather statement expressing temperature (-40 Hace frío. / 110 Hace calor.) on EVERY day, you will earn +3 extra credit points.

**As always, if you have any questions, please contact me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.**

2) Review Vocabulary

- Run through your flashcards for at least 10 minutes to review this chapter's vocabulary (even the words we haven't really talked about yet). Your vocab quiz will still be this Friday (March 9. 2018). This date will NOT change. Remember: It's more difficult and more beneficial to study from English to Spanish. There is an electronic copy of this chapter's words located on Google Drive (Spanish 8 -- Lección Prelim -- Vocab). If you're looking for more interactive ways to study you may want to try visiting either of the following links:

    - Send me an e-mail between the hours of 7AM - 3PM and receive your daily 2 participation points
            - The e-mail does not have to be about any particular subject, but should be Spanish-related (preferably written in Spanish).
            - If you are unable to send an e-mail before 3PM, please send your message ASAP. You may still receive your participation points even if you send the e-mail after the window of time provided has passed if it is within reason.

4) Missing Assignments

    - You will be able to find most (if not all) of these assignments in the current chapter's folder on Google Drive.
