Kingsland Public Schools is undertaking an exciting effort to freshen-up and modernize its look and feel through rebranding.

Rebranding is the creation of a new look and feel for an established product or company. The usual goal of rebranding is to influence a customer's perception about a product or service or the company overall by revitalizing the brand and making it seem more modern and relevant to the customer's needs.  The name of the district, Kingsland, and the associated name, Knights, will not be changed in any way.

Kingsland is conducting a rebranding logo design contest for the winter of 2022.  The contest is seeking a primary, secondary, and breakaway logos.  A single logo may be selected if it meets the definition of a primary and secondary logos.  This also applies to the breakaway logo.  So, what are these different logos?

  • Primary Logo – It is the main mark of recognition for your school district.  Kingsland’s current primary logo is depicted on the main webpage.  The primary logo is the trunk of the tree.  The secondary logos are the branches of the tree.
  • Secondary Logo – It uses elements of the primary logo arranged in a different composition. This provides you with more flexibility to use your logo in different design settings. For example, a secondary logo is often either a simplified version of the primary logo or another version may be in a square composition. This logo type is ideal for using in square social media profile images, on social media graphics, and other places where you need to use a more compact version of your logo.
  • Breakaway Logo - It uses a design whereby components of the logo can be separated/removed to use as stand-alone logos.
