Welcome to Kingsland Elementary School!
Kingsland Elementary is home to students in grades Pre-K through 6. We are proud of our students, staff, families, and community members working together to achieve great success every day.
This begins with a joint effort to create a safe, supportive learning environment for all students. As a Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS) school, we have regular class, grade-level, and school-wide activities designed to teach students respectful and responsible behaviors and acknowledge students for positive behaviors and academic achievements. We are also fortunate to have great support and involvement in our schools from families and community members, with our Knight Crew volunteer program and an active parent organization known as Kingsland School Parents (KSP).
Our academic programs at Kingsland Elementary provide students the essential knowledge and skills necessary for future success with relevant and practical applications. Students have access to technology, including 1-to-1 iPads in grades 2-6, and teachers utilize technology when appropriate to provide engaging, hands-on lessons and educational activities. All students participate in our PK-6 Action 100 reading intervention program, during which students read daily from authentic texts at their independent reading level while receiving one-on-one individualized reading instruction from classroom teachers and intervention teachers. We also continue to offer Project Lead the Way (PLTW) to all students in grades K-6. This national science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program provides our students with opportunities for inquiry and hands-on learning in STEM education to prepare them for 21st Century careers.
