Candidate Filing Dates
Tuesday, July 14, 2026, to Monday, July 27, 2026, 8:00 am. - 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements to File
- Completed Affidavit of Candidacy form (must be notarized)
- $2 filing fee (non-refundable; please bring exact change or a check made payable to ISD 2137)
- Eligible to vote in Minnesota
- 21 years of age or older on assuming office.
- A resident of the Kingsland school district for thirty (30) days before the general election.
- Not a convicted sex offender.
- Have no other affidavits on file for any other office at the next primary or general election.
- *Candidates must also complete Campaign Finance Reports after the election.

- In-person through the District Office during the above-listed dates.
- By mail, if both the Affidavit of Candidacy (notarized) and the $2 filing fee are received by Tuesday, July 28, 2026,
at 5:00 p.m. *Those received after this date will NOT be accepted, and names will not be placed on the official ballot.
